08.33 – Walking over to the conference center, stpeter and I ran into yet another Mozilla person — they’re everywhere. We wound up chatting for about half an hour about Passel, doing a demo, etc. He commented that while it was interesting, it’s definately a paradigm shift that user’s are going to have to make to figure out what’s going on with Passel. I fully agree with that assessement. Then again, any identity system is going to be a shift for users, in the same way that RSS was. It’s a new class of information that people will have to learn to manage. Obviously, we need to strive to create systems that are easy for people to understand, but I think it’s important to remember that it’s going to also require people to shift the way they think.
In other news, I successfully Passel-enabled Wordpress this morning. It’s nice not to have to remember the password to login. :)
